Property for rent in Hungary
The market for properties for rent in Hungary is on the rise. The capital Budapest leads the market of properties for rent with the highest number of requests.
In the neighbourhoods to the east of the capital the prices of properties for rent are the most accessible while the centre is more expensive. The western side of the city is the cheapest for rental fees in Budapest.
The best properties for rent are located in the Grand Boulevard area and in Buda where many foreigners look for properties for rent to move to Hungary.
Foreigners are also interested in cities such as Miskolc, Hévíz, Debrecen, Pécs and Keszthely for finding properties for rent.
In Hungary and especially in Budapest the most requested properties for rent do not exceed 60 square meters and the most widespread type of rental is that of tourist rent, even if long-term and student rentals are quite common.
However, Hungarian families prefer to rent a property for rent rather than buy it and this trend is also increasing because the cost of the properties is high.
The city of Budapest is divided into 23 districts called Kleterü, each with very specific characteristics: 5 are in Buda, 16 in Pest, 1 in Óbudo and 1 on the island of Csepel and Margaret.
The most luxurious properties for rent are located in District II called "Beverly Hills". District VII is the famous Jewish district of Pest and here most of the properties for rent are in buildings. District VIII is the most central in the city but it is very degraded and frankly it is not the best neighbourhood to choose a property for rent.
District IX is the new Buda in west of the Danube which offers properties for rent especially to university students.
The XIV District called Zugló is the one that has seen the greatest development of residential buildings and therefore the one that offers excellent proposals for rental properties in Hungary.
